Belarusian wrestlers won 25 medals at the European Youth Sambo Championship
At the tournament, which took place in Bucharest, Rumania, Belarusians won two gold, seven silver and 16 bronze medals.
The competitions were held in two age groups. Among the boys and the girls, born between 1994-1995, there are 13 medals (1 gold, 5silver and 7 bronze). Tatyana Demchenko became an European champion (weight category up to 52 kg).
Silver medalists are Anfisa Kapaeva (up to 44 kg), Ksenia Danilovich (up to 56 kg), Marina Geriatovich (up to 65 kg), Victoria Krotova (up to 70 kg) among girls and Anzor Jesakaev (up to 75 kg) among boys.
Bronze medalists are Verinoka Suglob (up to 40 kg), Vita Volnova (up to 48 kg), Valeria Smigunova (over 75 kg) among girls and Vladimir Gorbel (up to 56 kg), Pavel Gladkih (up to 60 kg), Dmitry Smolin (up to 70 kg) among boys.
Belarusian juniors, born between 1992-1993, won 12 medals (1 gold, 2 silver, 9 bronze). An Europe champion became Katerina Kalyzhnaya (weight category over 80 kg). Silver medalists are Regina Shatravskaya (up to 56 kg) among girls and Arif Bagirov (up to 57 kg) among boys.
Bronze medals were won by Viktoria Kovaliova (up to 48 kg), Katerina Novikova (up to 52 kg), Tatyana Tokt (up to 60 kg), Tatyana Chernuha (up to 64 kg), Kristina Zhukovets (up to 68 kg) among girls and Vadim Ganenko (up to 52 kg), Sergei Ushivets (up to 62 kg), Vadim Mikulski (up to 68) and Ilya Asin (up to 100 kg) among boys.
